The Code on Wages, 2019 amalgamates four wage-related labour laws to ensure uniformity and timely payment of wages. It provides for minimum wages, equal remuneration, bonus, and regulated deductions, applicable to all employments. The Code aims to simplify compliance and protect the wage rights of employees.

S.O. 5322(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019), the Central Government hereby appoints the 21st day of November, 2025 as the date on which the following provisions of the said Code, shall come into force

S.O. 5321(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020), the Central Government hereby appoints the 21st day of November, 2025 as the date on which the provisions of the said Code, shall come into force.
