Notification on Section 127 regarding simple interest
The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide S.O. 2698(E), has specified that employers shall be liable to pay simple interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum on any amount due from them under the Code on Social Security, 2020, from the date such amount became due till actual payment. This notification is deemed to have come into force from November 21, 2025. Please refer the notification for more details.

PFC, and Enforcement Officers) to levy on and recover damages from employers under Chapter III of the Code on Social Security, 2020, superseding S.O. 4921(E) dated October 29, 2025. Notification on Section 143(6) regarding rate of inspection charges under CoSS, 2020
The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide S.O. 2701(E), has directed employers of exempted establishments to pay inspection charges at the rate of 0.35% of wages for EPF Scheme 1952 (minimum Rs.8750) and 0.005% for EDLI Scheme 1976 (minimum Rs.1250), superseding earlier notifications. Notification Regarding Employee Provident Fund_Wage limit_COSS 15000
S.O. 2702(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (89) of section 2 of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020), the Central Government hereby notifies rupees fifteen thousand (₹15,000) per month as the wage ceiling for the purposes of Chapter III of the said Code.
